The pendant is made from what is called "White Metal", or "Zasta" in Hindi. White metal is an alloy  typically made up of combinations of antimony, tin, lead, cadmium, bismuth, and zinc. These pendants are then electroplated with a pure silver coating, and then it is oxidised to give it an antique look.

More beautiful than the picture suggests. Wife is very happy, wearing it all the time.
